Meet the FOB team


Gordon Polson – Director

Reporting to Chairman and Council has overall responsibility for general management of The Federation, including budgetary and financial management, policy and planning. Also has direct responsibility for technical/legislative, health and safety and environmental issues.


Caroline Ford – Training/Health and Safety Co-ordinator

Responsible for all aspects of the organisation of our programme of sector specific training courses and seminars. Also sources and distributes health and safety and labour market information and statistics.



Amy Yeates – Executive Secretary

Executive Assistant reporting to the Director. Is involved in all aspects of The Federation’s work and has specific responsibility for office, IT and website management. Also responsible for organising the Federation’s Annual Conference.
