Ferguson Engineering (Northern) Ltd joins Federation of Bakers

The Federation of Bakers (FOB) is delighted to welcome Ferguson Engineering (Northern) Ltd as a new associate member.

Ferguson Engineering (Northern) Ltd based in Pendle, Lancashire, designs, manufactures, installs and commissions bespoke equipment for the bakery industry both nationally and internationally, ranging from single components to a full bread manufacturing plant.  They are suppliers to the UK’s leading large-scale bakeries including many FOB members.  Since the start of trading in 1985, the company has grown steadily to become a major supportive force within the UK baking industry.

Andy Coulson, Managing Director at Ferguson Engineering comments: “We are excited to join the Federation of Bakers and become part of national organisation that supports one of the key sectors in the FMCG industry.  Baking is a huge part of British heritage and Ferguson Engineering are pleased to have played a part in servicing the industry since 1985, with Mr Ray Ferguson very much still at the helm today.

The Federation of Bakers Ltd represents the UK’s largest bakeries who supply the nation’s bread and morning goods and other bread products.  With eight member companies running 32 bakeries in the United Kingdom and supplying the majority of the bread consumed in the UK FOB members include Delifrance UK, Fine Lady Bakeries, Geary’s Bakeries, Irwins’ Bakery, Jacksons Bakery, Kerry Ingredients, Roberts Bakery and Warburtons.

The Federation of Bakers has 22 Associate Members who are all suppliers to the UK baking industry.  Ferguson Engineering joins current associate members AAK (UK), AB Mauri UK and Ireland, ADM Milling, AIB International UK, Baker Perkins, Bakers’ Basco, British Bakels, Bühler, Campden BRI, CSM (UK), Energy Management LLP, GB Ingredients, FlexLink Systems, Food Paper, Kwik Lok, Lesaffre Group, Puratos, Spooner Industries, St. Pierre Groupe, We Seal, Zeelandia and Zeppelin Systems.
